Jack and Sunita own a coffee shop.

It’s on the edge of a business park.
With no close competitors.
And has a captive audience.
So it’s always very busy.
The place is old, tired and dilapidated.
Not comfortable to work in.
Or sit in as a customer.
There’s not enough tables.
Customers have to queue and wait.
They frequently moan.
Staff are frustrated.
They’re paid minimum wage.
There is no development.
And little encouragement or motivation from above.
Jack and Sunita don’t think about their business.
But are aware their profits are falling.
They’re frightened of competition appearing.
They resist the need to change or try anything new.
And never invest in improving their business.
❓ What would you do if you were Jack and Sunita?
If you’re reading this then it’s likely you run a GP Practice not a coffee shop.
You might recognise the situation and analogy is the same for many practices.
❓ So what will you do?
How are you going to prevent your profits falling?
What will you do to develop and motivate staff?
How are you improving the experience for your patients?
What are you doing to make your business resilient and sustainable?
Doing nothing shouldn’t be your default option.
A far better option is to make your practice, or coffee shop, the best business it can be.
