In general practice that’s no different, if you’re to be happy and successful in your work then it helps if it’s something you have a passion for. Equally if you’re not enjoying what you do, you won’t be able to hide it, and it will affect those around you.
Find your work passion and it can benefit you and those you work with in many ways.
A passion helps you learn.
If you love something then you’ll always be looking for the knowledge and skills to do it even better. Learning becomes a natural part of your passion.
A passion reduces stress.
Doing something you enjoy means you’re far less affected by things that would otherwise cause stress.
A passion helps you focus.
You can concentrate far better on tasks you’re passionate about. It’s easier to remain focused on what you’re doing and the end result, than be put off by distractions.
A passion is contagious.
It’s a positive energy and will permeate to others, so they’ll want their own passion and the same enjoyment that you have.
A passion should be encouraged.
Shout about it to get the team inspired. If others have a passion help them develop it.
Find your passion and focus on it. Mine’s leadership, what’s yours?
